You can use your Asana account alongside HighGround to retrieve your Task Management data. This data can then be used to drive your Cyber KPI's. In order to synchronise this data to your HighGround account, you will need to connect to Asana's API by first generating API credentials, and then integrating the tool via the Integrations module.
The following process is reasonably technical, so please have a member of your IT personnel complete this if you do not have any prior experience with API's.
Please follow the steps below to generate API credentials for Asana, before moving onto our guide on How to Integrate a tool with your HighGround account.
STEP 1: Generating a Personal access token from you Asana Account
Note
For security reasons it isn't possible to view the token after closing the creation dialog; if necessary, create a new token.
You should store the token securely, just as for any password.
You can generate a personal access token from the Asana developer console.
Click your profile photo from the topbar
Select My Settings
Open the Apps tab
Click Manage Developer Apps
Click + New Access Token
Type a description of what you'll use the Personal Access Token for
Click Create
Copy your token and use it to authorize requests
STEP 2: Integrate Asana to your HighGround Account
You can now use the Personal access token retrieved in the previous steps to integrate the tool to your HighGround account.
To do so, you will need to go to the Integrations area of your HighGround account, and find the Asana tool under Task Management Tag. Clicking on 'Connect Tool' will open a window for you to enter the following details;
