You can use your Kaseya VSA account alongside HighGround to retrieve your Web Filtering data. This data can then be used to drive your Cyber KPI's. In order to synchronise this data to your HighGround account, you will need to connect to Kaseya's API by first generating API credentials, and then integrating the tool via the Integrations module.
The following process is reasonably technical, so please have a member of your IT personnel complete this if you do not have any prior experience with API's.
Please follow the steps below to generate API credentials for Kaseya VSA, before moving onto our guide on How to Integrate a tool with your HighGround account.
STEP 1: Login to Kaseya VSA
Note
Only active Kaseya VSA Admin accounts can be used to generate API credentials, so please ensure that you login using a current admin account.
Login to your organisation's Kaseya VSA account.
On Login Screen, take a note of your domain in your Login URL. You may need this to Integrate Kaseya with Highground Later.
STEP 2: Generate User Access Token
From the main left-hand menu, click System, and then navigate to Users under User Security :
On the Users page, You need to follow below mentioned steps.
First Select the User form the users list appears in left section.
Click on Access Token in right section
Click on New to generate new Access Token
It will show a form to generate Access Token. Fill the form and follow below mentioned steps.
Enter an Access Token name in Token Information section.
Select REST API in Scopes Assigned section.
Select Inherit from User role in REST API Access Rights section.
Click save to generate Access Token.
Note
Leave Expires after the date blank so that Access Token never expire.
After Click on save , An Access Token will generate and popup in alert box.
Note
Make sure to securely store your Access Token somewhere, as Kaseya VSA will only show you this once.
STEP 3: Integrate Kaseya VSA to your HighGround Account
You can now use the Access Token retrieved in the previous step to integrate the tool to your HighGround account.
To do so, you will need to go to the Integrations area of your HighGround account, and find the Kaseya VSA tool under Patch Management. Clicking on 'Connect Tool' will open a window for you to enter the following details;
Continue in the integration window pictured above to complete the process of connecting your Kaseya VSA tool.
