You can use your Jira account alongside HighGround to retrieve your Task Management data. This data can then be used to drive your Cyber KPI's. In order to synchronise this data to your HighGround account, you will need to connect to Atlassian's API by first generating API credentials, and then integrating the tool via the Integrations module.
The following process is reasonably technical, so please have a member of your IT personnel complete this if you do not have any prior experience with API's.
Please follow the steps below to generate API credentials for Jira, before moving onto our guide on How to Integrate a tool with your HighGround account.
STEP 1: Create an API token from your Atlassian account
Note
For security reasons it isn't possible to view the token after closing the creation dialog; if necessary, create a new token.
You should store the token securely, just as for any password.
Click Create API token.
From the dialog that appears, enter a memorable and concise Label for your token and click Create.
Click Copy to clipboard, then paste the token to your script, or elsewhere to save:
STEP 2: Get your organisation's Jira URL
If you are already login into your Jira Software. You can get your Organisation's URL from the browser's address bar.
STEP 3: Integrate Jira to your HighGround Account
You can now use the API Token and URL retrieved in the previous steps to integrate the tool to your HighGround account.
To do so, you will need to go to the Integrations area of your HighGround account, and find the Jira tool under Task Management Tag. Clicking on 'Connect Tool' will open a window for you to enter the following details;
Continue in the integration window pictured above to complete the process of connecting your Jira tool.
If you are unsure of how to complete the integration, you can look at our guide on How to Integrate a tool with your HighGround account.
