1.0 - HighGround: Packed with Features, But We’re Just Getting Started

HighGround is already loaded with tools to make your life easier.

But do we stop there? Absolutely not. We’re always cooking up new ways to deliver you a kick a** experience and make sure you’re squeezing every last drop of value out of HighGround.

This article is your sneak peek at some of the exciting new features and improvements coming your way in 2025.

Because innovation never sleeps… (and neither do we.)

2.0 - Dealing with Generic Products & Exceptions

So, you’re importing products from your PSA into HighGround—exciting times! But what if you need to tweak the process a little? That’s where exceptions come in.

Think of them like traffic cones for your imports: they tell HighGround, "Nope, this one goes over there instead!" Whether it’s a special product, a unique rule, or just you flexing your organizational skills, exceptions give you control over where things land.

Do you bundle your services into single line items, e.g. $200 /month /user for support, cybersecurity and Microsoft 365? If so, our new distribution feature will let you take things up a notch.

Instead of settling for your PSAs single category mapping (because generic products in your PSA can only go in a single category), you will be able to split it across multiple categories like a true financial genius.

Want an even split? Easy. Prefer manual control? Go for it. Have specific percentages in mind? HighGround’s got your back.

It’s all about making sure your products land exactly where they should, creating insanely beautiful and powerful dashboards in HighGround whilst leaving your PSA data the f*ck alone!

3.0 - AI-Powered Technology Spend Mapping

Good news! We’re building a shiny new AI-powered feature that will make importing products into HighGround faster, smarter, and way less of a headache.

Instead of manually mapping each product or category to a corresponding category in HighGround, our advanced AI model will take the wheel - analysing, organizing, and placing your products exactly where they belong.

But wait, there’s more! If your product categories are a little... let’s say, creative (we see you, “Miscellaneous Stuff” folder), we've creating an 'Exceptions' feature (more above) which will enable to override the AI and map it exactly the way you want, including distributing it across multiple categories for generic products.

So no more worrying about how dirty the data is in your PSA - we'll do the grunt work to get you to dashboards you can use in a matter of minutes.

4.0 - Smart Mapping

Want to import your spend data into HighGround but don't have the time to do the mapping? Enter Smart Mapping. With this AI-powered magic, HighGround will automatically map your products or categories in your PSA to the right categories in HighGround in seconds. All you have to do is skim over it, making any changes and click Sync.

But here’s where it gets even cooler: Smart Mapping learns from you. If the AI doesn’t get it quite right the first time and you tweak the category, it takes notes like a diligent intern. Over time, it starts recognizing your habits and preferences, meaning every future import from your PSA gets smarter and more accurate.

So, the more you use it, the better it gets—kind of like training a dog, but with fewer treats and more IT wizardry. 🧙‍♂️🐶

5.0 - MSP Category Management

As an MSP, you’ve got a million things to do—repeating the same setup process for every single client shouldn’t be one of them. That’s why we built MSP Category Management.

This feature lets you customize your Technology Spend Module at a high level and apply those settings across all your clients. Want to spot key categories at a glance? Color-code them so your brain instantly knows what’s what. Got a category that’s about as useful as a screen door on a submarine? Hide it entirely—your clients will never know it existed.

It’s all about saving you time, reducing clutter, and giving you full control over categories—so you can focus on more important things, like fixing that one client’s “mystery” network issue (spoiler: it’s their VPN again).
