1.0 - Introduction
Sure, your Technology Spend Dashboard gives you a nice, shiny overview of your data—but the real treasure trove of insights are buried just beneath the surface, waiting for you to dig in.
In this article, we’ll show you all the ways to drill down into your data, uncover the details you need, and finally get that satisfying “aha!” moment. Let’s go treasure hunting! 🏴☠️💰
2.0 - Drilling into Amounts, Invoices & Subscription Payments
Clicking on a category and you'll immediately be on the "All Spend" section—the central hub where all expenses tied to this category and any subcategories live.
Here, you’ll find every type of spend that’s been added—whether manually entered or automatically imported from your PSA. If your PSA is synced with HighGround, any invoices found will be neatly pulled in and mapped to the right category (assuming you did a good job setting it up that is!).
In this section, you'll see amounts, subscriptions, and invoices all gathered together like an awkward family reunion.
Now, let’s talk about how to dive deeper into the details:
Click on an amount – This lets you zoom in on the payment, revealing all the gritty details: spend date, amount, currency, etc. Need to tweak something? You can edit it right here.
Click on a subscription payment – you will see the payment itself, with the subscription it is associated at the bottom.
Click on an invoice – all invoice line items are displayed, with the ones highlighted in blue being the ones that belong top the category/subcategory you have opened.
You can repeat this same process for subcategories too - just click the subcategory tab, click the subcategory you want, and repeat the same process above.
And that’s it! Simple, right? Now go forth and click responsibly. 🖱️
3.0 - Drilling into Subscriptions
You can easily drill into your subscription and it's payments by either:
From the Category or List view - click a subscription payment (they have a little green icon on them) - this will show you the subscription payment itself and the subscription it came from listed art the bottom
From the Subscription view - click on your subscription, and all subscription payments are listed at the bottom - simply click one of them to drill into the subscription payment
There you have it - drill away!
